End User License Agreement
The license terms for Filmit Studio and all CEP plugin extensions.
This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Filmit.io ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Filmit Studio desktop application and all associated CEP plugin extensions for Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro (collectively, the "Software"). By installing, copying, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software. This EULA is in addition to the Terms of Service governing your use of filmit.io.
License Grant
Subject to the terms of this EULA and your active subscription, we grant you a:
- Personal — Licensed to you as an individual, not to an organization.
- Non-exclusive — We may grant identical licenses to other users.
- Non-transferable — You may not give, sell, or lend your license to another person.
- Revocable — We may revoke this license if you violate these terms.
- Limited — Restricted to the scope described in this EULA.
This license permits you to install and use the Software on your personal devices for the purpose of creating, editing, and producing video and motion graphics content.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or sell the Software or any part of it.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software.
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices, trademarks, or other proprietary markings.
- Use the Software to build a competing product or service.
- Share your account credentials or license key with other individuals.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any license verification, authentication, or security features.
- Use the Software in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
Device Activations
Your license allows activation on up to two (2) devices simultaneously. This is intended to cover your primary workstation and a secondary device (for example, a desktop and a laptop).
- Each device is identified by a unique machine fingerprint.
- You can deactivate a device from your License page to free up an activation slot.
- If you replace a device, deactivate the old one before activating the new one.
We reserve the right to monitor activation patterns to prevent abuse. Excessive activations or patterns consistent with license sharing may result in license suspension.
Subscription & Access
Access to the Software requires an active Filmit.io subscription. Your subscription governs which plugins and features are available to you based on your tier.
- If your subscription expires, is cancelled, or payment fails, your license to use the Software is suspended.
- Suspended licenses can be reactivated by renewing your subscription.
- Plugins installed during an active subscription will stop functioning when the license is no longer active.

Updates & Maintenance
While your subscription is active, you receive:
- All software updates, bug fixes, and new plugin releases included in your tier.
- Automatic updates delivered through the Filmit Studio auto-updater.
- Access to new features and tools as they become available.
We may release updates that change, add, or remove features. We aim to always improve the Software, but we do not guarantee that every feature available today will remain available in perpetuity.
Intellectual Property
The Software, including all source code, object code, user interface designs, documentation, icons, logos, and associated materials, is the exclusive property of Filmit.io and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
This EULA does not grant you any ownership rights in the Software. You are licensed to use the Software, not own it. All rights not explicitly granted in this EULA are reserved by Filmit.io.
Your Creative Work
The work you create using our tools is 100% yours. We claim no ownership, no license, and no rights to any project, composition, video, or creative output you produce with Filmit plugins.
You may use the Software and its plugins for personal projects, commercial work, client work, YouTube videos, films, social media content, and any other lawful creative purpose. There are no royalty fees or usage restrictions on the output of your creative work.
Third-Party Software
The Software is designed to run as an extension within Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. You must have a valid, licensed copy of the applicable Adobe application to use our plugins.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Adobe Inc.
- Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro are trademarks of Adobe Inc.
- We cannot guarantee compatibility with every version or configuration of Adobe software.
- Issues caused by Adobe software updates, third-party plugins, or system configuration are outside our control.
Data Collection
The Software collects limited data necessary to operate, as described in our Privacy Policy. In summary:
- Authentication tokens to verify your identity and license.
- Plugin installation and version information for update delivery.
- Basic system information (OS type, app version) for compatibility.
The Software does not access, collect, transmit, or store your project files, compositions, footage, timelines, or any personal creative work.
Warranty Disclaimer
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that defects will be corrected or that the Software will meet your specific requirements.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FILMIT.IO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, PROJECT FILE CORRUPTION, OR SYSTEM DAMAGE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID FOR YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Termination
This EULA is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if:
- Your subscription expires or is cancelled and the billing period ends.
- You violate any term of this EULA.
- We terminate your account under our Terms of Service.
Upon termination, you must:
- Cease all use of the Software.
- Uninstall Filmit Studio and all associated plugins from your devices.
- Delete any copies of the Software in your possession.
Termination of this EULA does not affect your ownership of any creative work produced while your license was active.
Governing Law
This EULA is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from this EULA shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.
